The impact study of this AKESA project was carried out in four provinces of Afghanistan including Balkh, Baghlan, Badakhshan, and Bamyan. The impact study followed a mixed design, which included conducting key informant’s interviews, in-depth interviews, and FGD (Focus Group Discussions). Training and Research (TAR) Business Consulting conducted, 299 individual interviews, 67 key informants’ interviews, 03 in-depth interviews, and 10 FGDs with stakeholders. This impact study presents a comprehensive context analysis of the education sector in Afghanistan as well as presents a thorough review of each project component based on the OECD criteria. Here a summary of findings under each OECD criteria has been presented.
